A hot Thai chilli which produces and abundance of bright orange fruits. The pods are small and slender between 5-8cm in length. The plants have a bushy growth habit and reached a height of 60-80cm. A Capsicum annum variety.
Also known as ‘Prik Leung’ which translates from Thai to ‘orange chilli’. Since their introduction to Southeast Asia in the 15th and 16th century by Portuguese explorers, many chilli varieties have been bred there and they have become integral to Thai cuisine.
Take care when sowing as the capsaicinoid chemicals which give chillies their heat is abundant on the seeds.
